14 High-tech Industry Models from Chengdu High-tech Zone Pass Filing

In recent years, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Public Security have successively issued relevant measures, putting forward requirements for the legality and compliance of the research and development, as well as the listing of core algorithms by artificial intelligence enterprises. This signifies that the filing of deep synthesis service algorithms and generative AI service algorithms represents a crucial step for large AI models to officially launch and provide services to the public.

Recently, the Cyberspace Administration of China announced the seventh batch of filed information on domestic deep synthesis service algorithms, with a total of 15 algorithms from Chengdu passing the filing, 12 of which originate from enterprises located in Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Combined with the previous six batches of filed information, 44 deep synthesis service algorithms from Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone have now successfully completed the filing process. Furthermore, two generative AI services from enterprises in Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone have also recently been added to the list of completed filings for generative AI services.


As the core area of Chengdu's construction as a national pilot zone for innovative development of new-generation artificial intelligence and a national leading zone for innovative application of AI, Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone is targeting the two core pillars of large models and computing power to seize a competitive position in the emerging AI race.

Currently, Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone has attracted a large number of AI-related enterprises, with the scale of the AI-related industry reaching 46.8 billion yuan in 2023, demonstrating initial signs of clustering effects.

Targeting Large Models and Computational Power for Precise Development

"Securing a Position" in the Emerging AI Race

Today, the development of artificial intelligence, represented by large models, is characterized by rapid technological innovation and strong application penetration, profoundly transforming manufacturing production modes and economic structures. Collaborating with leading enterprises has become one of the crucial paths for regions to secure a position in this new race.

In April this year, Baidu Intelligent Cloud reached a strategic cooperation with Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Both parties will jointly carry out research and development of large model applications, promote the aggregation of upstream and downstream industries of large models in Chengdu, and build an AI industrial ecosystem.

From May 1st, the first special policy for the digital economy industry in Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone was implemented, with artificial intelligence taking the lead. The policy will focus on core algorithm research and development, as well as the self-research of large model products, aiming to address key pain points such as the lack of fundamental large models, the scarcity of high-quality industry-specific large models, and insufficient AI empowerment across various industries.

This year, Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone will precisely focus on the two key value chain segments of large models and computational power. It plans to establish a regional AI large model industry alliance, promote the settlement of leading AI large model enterprises and GPU chip headquarters projects, and leverage the strengths of industries such as AI and high-end software to drive the clustering of digital economy enterprises across the entire industrial chain.
